KW noticed years ago that cleaning the inside and communal areas was all well and good, but if the outside of entrances and windows were covered in cobwebs, all manner of debris would blow up and get caught, creating an unsightly and messy area that ruined the efforts of staff. Karen Wescott, Managing Director explains, ‘We’ve taken to cleaning the ‘outside of the inside’ of properties and this makes a great deal of difference. Staff avoid killing spiders and flies in preference to letting them out, but we do remove cobwebs on every visit, including the exteriors of entrances, doors and window frames. It doesn’t take long for neglected corners, down pipes and bins to get covered in them and residents suffer the rather neglected consequences. It’s just one of the many aspects we like to address to make the most of each property we visit”.
